How to read the colors: a worked example
If an example board's answer were APPLE, the guess ALLEE would produce green, yellow, grey, grey, green. The second L and extra E are grey because only one of each remains after the green letters are matched. This is an example, not today's Quordle answer.
Recommendations compare the remaining words across active boards using Xfire's reference lists and a bounded ranking heuristic. Expected candidate reductions assume those remaining words are equally likely; they are not a guaranteed best play or a certified Quordle acceptance list.
