The most reliable PlayStation leaker just confirmed the PC port Horizon Forbidden West 

Horizon Forbidden West's first and only expansion sees the game's protagonist, Aloy, venture into the desolate remains of a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles to uncover more information about the ancient race she faced in the main game. The DLC made headlines due to the controversy surrounding an optional plot choice which led to a wave of negative reviews on Metacritic.

It's no secret that PlayStation has been extending its olive branch to the PC community in recent years, starting with the PC port of Horizon Zero Dawn before PS5 exclusives like Returnal and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart eventually made their way.

What has gamers particularly intrigued is the timing of this potential PC release. Speculations are rife that Sony may use its anticipated State of Play livestream to officially announce the Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition.

Horizon Forbidden West has certainly been one of the biggest successes stories for Sony and the PlayStation platform. The developers, Guerilla Games, announced back in April that the game had sold a whopping 8.4 million copies already. For those considering diving into this expansive world, the Complete Edition promises a significant amount of value. Its base game alone offers over 60 hours of immersive quests and side content, with the Burning Shores DLC adding an extra twelve hours of narrative-driven adventures.

While Horizon Forbidden West's PC port comes a lot sooner than expected, it was perhaps a given when you consider the revered status of the franchise on the PS4 and the PS5.

Both franchises are the two best-selling action games on the PS4 and the PS5, so it only makes sense for Sony to bring them to a much larger audience as soon as possible. If nothing else, this all but guarantees that the PC port of God of War: Ragnarok will be available on the PC soon.

Unfortunately, with The Last of Us Part 1 not selling as well as many had hoped, Sony might have hit pause on further developments of the long-rumored The Last of Us Part 2 port for the PlayStation 5 and the PC. At this rate, Sony might have to wait for Naughty Dog to finish working on its multiplayer spin-off before The Last of Us Part 2 hops on to more platforms. The best case scenario is that it comes out at the same time as Season 2 of The Last of Us is available, which may be anywhere between late 2024 or early 2025.

As for a Ghost of Tsushima PC port, we're still not sure why Sony is taking so long with its port.

All of this is to say that Nvidia's earlier leak now looks even more credible than ever. All that's left now is for PlayStation Studios to give us the PC port of Demon's Souls and for Square Enix to release a remake of Final Fantasy 9, among others.
