After years of keeping all of its popular IPs to itself, Sony is finally opening itself up to other forms of media. Earlier this year, Sony released its first live-action adaptation, Uncharted. In the meantime, fans can look forward to HBO's The Last of Us next year. There are also other live-action films and TV shows on the docket like Gran Turismo, Horizon 2074, and even a God of War TV show. Finally, there's Chad Stahelski's Ghost of Tsushima movie, which, last we heard, isn't close to getting made.
Having said that, the John Wick director shared something interesting about the incoming live-action adaptation of the open-world samurai game.
Speaking to Collider's Steve Weintraub, Stahelski revealed that he wants to do a film that's "all in character." Stahelski then explained why he thinks this is a good idea, saying "It's a Japanese thing about the Mongols invading Tsushima island. A complete Japanese cast, in Japanese."
