God of War: Ragnarok PC Port Possibly Coming In Early 2025

Jetpack Interactive, a Vancouver-based studio that Sony surprisingly still hasn't acquired despite its history of close collaboration with Santa Monica Studio, writes on LinkedIn that it "continues to work with Sony Santa Monica on the God of War franchise." Since it's been a while sinceGod of War's PC port became available to play on PCs, the natural conclusion is one of two things: it's helping out with God of War: Ragnarok's PC port or a modern re-release of the original God of War trilogy is in the works.

In an ideal world, we'd see both. If nothing else, this route would certainly line up with Sony's plans of digging deep into its treasure trove of iconic properties. Besides, the younger generation needs to know why Kratos goes by so many names.

However, if you ask anonymous leaker, @Silknigth, the God of War: Ragnarok PC port is coming in early 2025.

In a reply to a curious fan after Sony posted the winner of its latest poll asking players to vote for their favourite PlayStation game, which God of War: Ragnarok won, Silknigth said that the 2022 title's PC port isn't coming "until the first quarter of 2025" but they didn't exactly rule out an earlier release although it would be doubtful.

While Sony's PC port pipeline will undoubtedly change under the new management, the logic should remain the same: only release a game's PC port after rolling out all the post-launch content and expansions for the game.

With God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla coming out in December, it will have been over 12 months since the last significant piece of update for the sequel. This should be plenty of time to squeeze out every bit of sales left on PlayStation 5 and give PC players a chance to enjoy Kratos' latest deity murdering spree.
