Sony to release more PlayStation games on the PC

Fingers crossed, we'll get at least one more PC port later this year and we're hoping that it's Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

Nixxes Software was recently seen hiring individuals to help them port the PS5-exclusive game, which relies heavily on the flagship console's proprietary SSD, to the PC. If successful, we might see a PC first where a game specifically lists having an SSD as part of its requirements.

Another game that's been speculated for a PC is Ghost of Tsushima, but Sony hasn't confirmed this yet outside of a box art change two years ago hinting at the PC port.

With a PlayStation Showcase reportedly scheduled for later this month, Sony has the perfect opportunity to announce what its next PC port is going to be.

But, if we're being honest, we'd love to see Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima come to the PC first. These two games will benefit a lot from the PC's modding community. Fan-created modding content helped "save" The Last of Us Part 1 despite its disastrous launch, giving gamers a reason to slog through the crashes if only to check out mods. Both Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima could potentially look and play significantly better with mods.

Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima have had their time on the PlayStation 4 and the sales have likely peaked. So, if there's a time to bring them to the PC, it's now.

Unfortunately, the closest info we have to a Bloodborne PC port is the countless rumors that claim that it's in development. On the other hand, Ghost of Tsushima was included in the infamous Nvidia GeForce Now leak, as was Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Gran Turismo 7, Demon's Souls, Horizon Forbidden West, and Helldivers 2. There's a chance that Bloodborne is being considered for a PC port but fans would likely prefer to see FromSoftware release a PS5 patch first.

In any case, all of this is speculative. The only sure thing is that Sony is liking the payoff from its latest investment.

Speaking of payoffs, the PlayStation 5 just posted the best-selling Q1 numbers in console history, putting it on track to sell at least as much as the PS4 when it's all said and done.
