In a GTA VI-less world, a new Saints Row game would have been perfect. The GTA-like series has always been one of the best alternatives to Rockstar's long-running franchise while also offering a similar flavor of game. This is why fans were happy to know that the Saints Row reboot was going to release as soon as February 2022.
Unfortunately, it appears that Deep Silver Volition needs a bit more time to work on the game.

It's not unusual for studios to delay games, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The ongoing global problem has forced developers to adjust their timelines and delay games by a few months to a year, if not longer. It just so happens that the latest victim is the upcoming Saints Row reboot.
