Fans have been asking about Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio ever since Deadpool 3 was announced. Now, we've received confirmation that the duo will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside Deadpool and Wolverine in the upcoming film.
Deadline reports that Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna have closed deals to join Ryan Reynold and Hugh Jackman in Deadpool 3. Hildebrand will be appearing in her third Deadpool movie as Negasonic Teenage Warhead while Kutsuna will return for her second film as Yukio. It was revealed in Deadpool 2 that Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio are in a relationship.
The pair had supporting roles in Deadpool 2 but had one very important scene that explains how Wade Wilson ended up in the MCU. It does make perfect sense for the duo to return for Deadpool 3 as they may have unwittingly triggered the events of the upcoming movie.
During the post-credits scene for Deadpool 2, Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio were the ones who gave Deadpool the time travel device previously owned by Cable, which he used to alter the course of history.
Wilson went back in time to save his wife, Vanessa, paving the way for Morena Baccarin's return in the upcoming sequel. Deadpool went on a time-traveling spree, recruiting Hugh Jackman's Wolverine to the MCU and killing a previous variant of himself in the process.
