Silent Hill, Metal Gear, and Castlevania are just some names that Konami has left to collect dust for the better part of the past decade. Thankfully, Konami officially revived Silent Hill as of last year. On the other hand, persistent reports about a Metal Gear remake or a new installment remain even if unconfirmed. Now, Konami just fueled speculation that a new Castlevania installment might be in the works.

In a recent interview with IGN, Konami assistant producer, Tsutomu Taniguchi, confirmed that the company is aware of the positive reception of Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania, saying that it was "really motivating for Konami."

Here's what Taniguchi said about a potential Castlevania revival:

We tried to bring back the games that people loved and cherished with the Castlevania Anniversary Collection and the Castlevania Advance Collection. We also brought back Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night for our PlayStation fans and on mobile, and launched Grimoire of Souls on Apple Arcade to celebrate the lore of the franchise. But we know that our fans always want more, and we do too, so this opportunity to have this amazing crossover with Dead Cells was impossible to pass up on.
