John Wick: Chapter 4 had a massive opening weekend and is on track to becoming the best film in the franchise. Given the popularity of John Wick: Chapter 4, fans have started asking if there's a possibility of a fifth movie. The ambiguity of the film's ending has left audiences wondering if Keanu Reeves is coming back.
Lionsgate Group President Joe Drake cleared the air in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter where he said that a fifth movie is on the table.
"There's a will and there's an openness. And you could certainly interpret that ending in different ways," Drake said. "We're all going to take a tiny rest here and then scratch at ideas about whether there's a credible way to get into five. But there's no guarantee."
Both Reeves and series director Chad Stahelski previously said that Chapter 4 would be the end of John Wick. The director previously planned on shooting the fourth and fifth movies back to back but scrapped the idea once they wrote the ending for John Wick 4. But, John Wick's death in Chapter 4 isn't explicitly shown, leaving it open to audience interpretation. Movie goers only see a shot of Wick bleeding out on the steps of the church and later on Winston and the Bowery King visit his grave in New York.
