Guerilla Games was always going to release a massive story expansion for the Game of the Year nominee, Horizon Forbidden West. It was simply a matter of when and not if. Now, we might know exactly when the first expansion for Aloy's second outing will be announced, as well as its potential release date.

One of the first leakers to get people talking about Horizon Forbidden West ahead of The Game Awards is "The Snitch. The reliable insider recently leaked a screenshot of the map of San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. Fans later speculated that the ever-cryptic tweeter is telling us about a DLC for Forbidden West. Insider Gaming later doubled down on the news by saying that the DLC will be called "Burning Shores" and will arrive in April next year.

It makes sense for Guerilla Games and PlayStation Studios to take center stage at The Game Awards on December 8. Two of the company's biggest exclusives got nominated for GOTY this year. However, many believe it's a close race between God of War: Ragnarok and Elden Ring.
