House of the Dragon does time jumps just as well as Targaryens do incest; it's like breathing for the show. But, after treating audiences to the biggest time jump of the season, some were hoping that we won't be getting any more. As it turns out, this isn't the case.
According to the fan account, House of the Dragon Source, Episode 8 will feature one last time jump for House of the Dragon before settling with its "final" cast members. Unlike the initial flash-forward, Episode 8 will mostly only affect House Velaryon. The account claims that Tom Glynn-Carney and Phia Saban will join the cast as Alicent's children in Episode 8, as Harry Collet and Elliot Grihault join as older versions of Rhaenyra's bastard children with the fiery Harwin Strong. In addition to this, the tweet alludes to the inevitable - HBO is planning House of the Dragon as a multiseason affair.
House of the Dragon has already beaten Game of Thrones in terms of viewership numbers and it continues to grow. However, this doesn't mean that the show isn't without fault. Fans often point to the constant time jumps as an issue for House of the Dragon. Considering how fans are still somewhat attached to Emily Carey and Milly Alcock as Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen, respectively, this is a valid criticism.
