The 2018 video game is a soft reboot of the best-selling PlayStation franchise with a sequel expected to come out later this year.

It looks like Sony wants to start the first month of its new PS Plus right.

With the three-tiered PS Plus already available in Asia, fans around the globe are looking forward to seeing the revamped service roll out in their regions. Perhaps to guarantee that it’s off to a good start, the leaked lineup for the free PS Plus games for June 2022 is stacked, to say the least.

According to a Spanish website, the free games for PS Plus members in June are:

  • God of War (2018)
  • Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker
  • Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

While this isn’t Sony’s best outing for PS Plus, it’s not half-bad. 2018’s God of War is the best-selling game for the PS4. Although most gamers probably already have the game in their library as it’s also part of the PS Plus Collection, it’s still an excellent addition. Not to mention, with a sequel coming later this year, some will be looking to replay the 2018 title to refresh their memory ahead of Kratos’ return.

Sony is making it clear that it doesn’t want to compete directly with the Game Pass with its new PS Plus structure. Instead, the new subscription program is Sony’s attempt to leverage its massive library of first-party exclusives and popular games from third-party partners like Ubisoft.

Japan will be the next destination for the revamped PlayStation Plus on June 2 followed by North and South America on June 13, and the rest of the world on June 23.

God of War is probably the only game that players won't get tired of getting for free.

What’s interesting here is that the leaked lineup includes three games. As per Sony, PS Plus subscribers should only get two every month. However, it is possible that this “change” in freebies will not happen until July.

Speaking of Sony, the console manufacturer is expected to make the next month’s PS Plus lineup official any day now. Also, make sure to circle June 2 on your calendars for the next State of Play showcase.
