Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is finally coming. After an initial reveal and a release date announcement, Final Fantasy fans now know which date to circle on their calendars so they can prepare themselves for what's going to be yet another 100-hour adventure with Cloud Strife and the rest of the party. But, there's a roughly six-month wait between then and now, which begs the question, what do you do until then?
If you've played Final Fantasy 7 Remake or its next-gen upgrade, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, already, your only "other" option is to check out the latest Final Fantasy releases, like, let's say, the ever-scapegoated Final Fantasy 16 or the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters, which have sold extremely well.
But, if Final Fantasy 16 was your gateway to the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy and you're tempted to check out what's the commotion all about, we've got good news for you.
At present, Final Fantasy 7 Remake costs $29.99 on the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 4 with a "free" upgrade for the PlayStation 5 edition. If you want to get the InterMISSION DLC, which includes a side-story involving Yuffie, who's a central character to the subseries, you'll have to shell out $39.99 to get both the FF7 Remake and its DLC on the PS5. It isn't the most expensive game on the market; it's just that there's a way to get this without paying extra.
