Over two decades after Dominic Torreto and his crew of misfit mechanics and gearheads boosted DVDs from the back of a truck on their 1993 Honda Civic EJ1, the journey of the action-packed franchise is finally coming to an end.

The Fast and Furious 11, which will likely be changed and/or shortened, will mark the final film in the mainline series.

To help bring Fast and Furious to a stellar finish, Universal Pictures has enlisted the services of Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel as screenwriters.

Both Christina and Oren are Fast and Furious neophytes, but make no mistake, they bring a heavy resume along with them. The former is best known for her work on recent blockbusters such as Bumblebee and Birds of Prey. On the other hand, the latter has written for movies like 22 Jump Street, Mortal Kombat, and The Lost City as well as the upcoming Amazon Spider-Man Noir series that he's signed up for to be the showrunner.

Together, these two writers will brainstorm on a script that aims to give franchise fans a proper closure.
