Call of Duty meets Magic in Electronic Arts' Immortals of Aveum

Magic seems to be en vogue this year, with Hogwarts Legacy making nearly a billion weeks just after its launch. Forspoken, for all its faults and lack of commercial success, was still an awesome showing that showcased how powerful someone with the ability to use magic can be. But, unlike Immortals of Aveum, these are predominantly third-person action RPG titles. On the other hand, the EA Originals title feels reminiscent of a Call of Duty game but with magic replacing guns.

With flashy and colorful spell effects as well as combat gameplay that looks satisfying based on the trailers, we believe that Immortals of Aveum will turn a lot of heads when it comes out in July.

If you doubt the quality of Immortals of Aveum, don't forget that EA Originals has had more hits than misses lately. 2021's GOTY winner, It Takes Two, was published under the same label. Omega Force's Wild Hearts, which came out earlier this year, was also well-reviewed as a close facsimile of Monster Hunter.
