Announced back at The Game Awards, Immortals of Aveum is an upcoming single-player first-person magic shooter from EA and Ascendant Studios. The game has gained some traction ever since its reveal despite no information but the teaser trailer being shown during The Game Awards.
Although the trailer is pre-rendered CGI, it gives the audience an idea of what to expect. Immortals of Aveum is a unique game and has the potential to be one of the greats if executed right. Not many in the industry are working on a magic-based first-person shooter game. It could either be great, or it could be the next Forspoken. The game is built on Unreal Engine 5.
Immortals of Aveum didn't get any release date, but has a release window of 2023, which means the game will release later this year. However, a credible insider, billbil-kun, has come forth with a definite release date of July 20, 2023.
Billbil-kun is a well-respected industry insider with a positive track record of several accurate leaks. He has successfully leaked PlayStation Plus' free games for several months, so his words carry some weight.

It is also worth noting that the official Ascendant Studios Twitter page also shared a post about Immortals of Aveum, stating that the "wait is almost over." This was just one day before billbil-kun's Twitter post about the July 20, 2023, release date. The timing of both the posts and billbil-kun's accurate past leaks gives a certain amount of credence to it all.

According to EA, Immortals of Aveum is an original fantasy game developed by creators with BAFTA and Game of the Year winning experience, including individuals who have worked on impressive triple-A titles such as Call of Duty, Dead Space, Telltale's The Walking Dead, Marvel's Spider-Man, The Wolf Among Us, Tomb Raider, Borderlands, The Elder Scrolls, Bioshock, and more.
The current Senior Narrative Designer at Ascendant Studios is Michael Kirkbride, known for his work on Telltale Games, EA, Bethesda Softworks, and SEGA. This is a huge deal, and players can expect good lore and world narrative.
That is all the information we have about the mysterious magic FPS from EA and Ascendant Studios. If development goes as planned, the game is slated for a 2023 release and will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We expect an official announcement about the game from either EA or Ascendant Studios in the coming weeks.
