Where one door closes, another one opens. Or, in this case, when one big event is canceled, a few "smaller" ones pop up.
After the ESA confirmed that E3 2022 was going to be canceled, several companies revealed that they'll be holding their own showcases during the usual E3 schedule. The first to do so was Microsoft with the Xbox and Bethesda showcase and Xbox Games Showcase Extended on June 12 and June 14, respectively.
Sony followed with its June 2 State of Play, where it dropped details on big third-party titles like the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake, among others.
