The Resident Evil franchise is one of the best-selling video games of all time, but it had its fair share of turbulent times. Much of the 2010s was full of uncertainty for the survival-horror series as the switch for more action-oriented gameplay in later installments alienated its fans. Thankfully, the move to a first-person perspective and a return to a more contained experience with Resident Evil: Biohazard was more than enough to help reignite the creative spark over at the guys at Capcom.
Since seeing success with the series' seventh mainline installment in 2017, Capcom has released remakes of Resident Evil and 3 in 2019 and 2020, respectively. In addition, Capcom confirmed that a remake of Resident Evil 4 is coming in March.
