Trusted insider corroborates Bluepoint Games' Bloodborne PS5 remaster

With three reputable insiders all talking about the same thing from their sources, it feels like it's only a matter of time before Sony, FromSoftware, and/or Bluepoint Games address everything.

Of course, this is assuming that these companies don't lie or completely ignore the rumors.

After all, Bluepoint Games did deny Sony's acquisition after Sony Japan leaked it a few months before the official announcement. At the same time, it makes no sense for PlayStation to keep a rumor, remaster, and/or sequel a secret. This is especially after the studio confirmed that 2018's God of War is coming to the PC in early 2022. Interestingly enough, the recent GeForce Now leak did not mention Bloodborne at all.

Now, it's not unusual for Sony to release something completely out of nowhere, but Bloodborne isn't just anything - it's one of Sony's best-selling PS4 games.

Ultimately, the reality here is that all we can do is speculate. Bluepoint Games is reportedly working on its first original game in years after the Sony acquisition, so there's that. It's also worth mentioning that FromSoftware is busy with Elden Ring, which is set to hold a Closed Network Test in November. Even if Sony owns the Bloodborne IP, we doubt that it will just go ahead and make a remaster or port, let alone a sequel, without the help of the game's original creators.

With that said, these reports from three credible industry insiders could all end up being false, or maybe it's just that the said projects are still too early in their development cycle for any of the studios involved to talk about it.
