How to get into the Elden Ring beta in November

Players can sign up for a chance to play Elden Ring ahead of its new February 2022 release date.

After working on the Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, FromSoftware is looking to make another instant classic with Elden Ring. Judging from everything that the studio has shown off so far, it appears that fans can expect to see some difficult bosses and challenging gameplay, as well as a fantasy world that was conjured with the help of George R.R. Martin.

Elden Ring might have been delayed by a month, but we've got good news for FromSoftware fans.

With that said, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco are now inviting players to join a Closed Network Test for Elden Ring ahead of its release. Although it's not a full open beta, it is a chance for selected players to try out Elden Ring.

Here's everything that you need to know about getting into the Elden Ring beta.

When is the Closed Network Test for Elden Ring?

Remember, not everyone who signed up for the Closed Network Test will get in.

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware are holding the Closed Network Test for Elden Ring on all the game's launch platforms except for the PC. The test is scheduled for the middle of November 2021 and will include a pre-selected group of players that will have access to all five sessions wherein FromSoftware will open the servers online to access for players.

Here are the five different sessions of the Elden Ring Closed Network Test and when they'll kick-off:

  • Session 1 - November 12th (Fri) from 3:00am to 6:00am PT
  • Session 2 - November 12th (Fri) from 7:00pm to 10:00pm PT
  • Session 3 - November 13th (Sat) from 11:00am to 2:00pm PT
  • Session 4 - November 14th (Sun) from 3:00 am to 6:00 am PT

How do you get into the Elden Ring beta?

We're hoping that FromSoftware and Bandai Namco holds another beta test after this one.

Getting into the Elden Ring beta is easy, all you have to do is to sign up using the official page and select your platform choice. Oddly enough, FromSoftware will ask if you've played their older games before, which the studio will probably use as criteria for selection. It should already go without saying, but make sure that you use an active email address and check your inbox frequently, including your spam folders.

Registration closes on November 1, 2021, so you'll want to get in your entry as soon as possible. It's not clear if FromSoftware and Bandai Namco are going to hold another full open beta or another test before Elden Ring's launch.

Is Elden Ring going to be delayed?

Unfortunately, yes. Elden Ring has been delayed. The good news is that it was only pushed back by a month.

According to the game's official Twitter account, Elden Ring will release on February 25, 2022. This is a little over a month after Elden Ring's initial release date on January 21, 2022, which was revealed earlier this year. The game will be available on the PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PS4, and PS5, at launch.
