It appears as if Abandoned is a Konami title, but not the one we all thought it was going to be. Or, at least, that is what a Russian journalist and industry insider is implying in his recent tweets.
For those that don't know, Abandoned is a timed PS5-exclusive title being developed by a little-known studio, BLUE BOX Game Studios. It's been getting a lot of traction in recent months, both because it's a big game for a rather small studio to be taking on, and the fact that the developers seem to love dropping hints about the game's connection with either Hideo Kojima and/or Konami.
Now, there is new evidence suggesting that it's not a Silent Hill game, but actually the sixth Metal Gear Solid installment in disguise.
Is Abandoned the sixth Metal Gear Solid title?
Before anything else, we'd like to remind you that nothing you are about to read is officially confirmed. However, as far as sources go, Anton Logvinov has a track history of leaking confidential information before they it is officially revealed. Years ago, he was one of the first to leak the PC ports of Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding, both of which were released in 2020.
