Sony's latest PlayStation Showcase came two years ago. It's believed the main reason why Sony refused to hold a massive showcase last year is that it didn't have much to show off yet. But, now, it appears Sony is itching to have a go.

In a lengthy ResetEra thread, that actually started as a way to pay respects to Lance Reddick, several discussions have taken place regarding what first-party PlayStation games are currently in development.

Then, a certain Shinobi062, a "Verified" user, went ahead and said the following: To be clear, I don't know what Sony's exact plans are when it comes to a showcase or State of Plays and all that. But I know a good amount of teams are at a point where things are certainly ready to be shown. That's exciting. Marvel's Wolverine is said to be scheduled for launch in 2024.

This lines up with earlier rumors that a PlayStation Showcase is happening later this month, which may or may not include a third-party title like Mortal Kombat 12, among others.
