Xbox Games Showcase 2023 announced for June 11

The pre-Starfield showcase by Xbox has been made official weeks after E3 2023 was officially canceled.

Forza Motorsport is the only other upcoming Xbox exclusive that's coming out this year that doesn't have a release date.

Microsoft's annual Xbox Games Showcase is coming back on June 11 as it promises to hold "new surprises and first-looks" at upcoming first-party Xbox Game Studios titles as well as other projects from third-party partners.

As per Xbox Wire, the Xbox Games Showcase will be available to watch on the official Xbox YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook channels, and will start at 1:00 PM EST / 10:00 AM PST.

The highlight of when Microsoft takes the stage on June 11 is Starfield, where it will offer "new gameplay, developer interviews, and behind-the-scenes insider information" about one of the most highly anticipated games of its generation. But, you can't discount what other games Xbox will announce as well. The last time this happened, Microsoft revealed a smorgasbord of upcoming titles for the Xbox and the Game Pass.

The Loot Drop

The Xbox Games Showcase is set to take place on June 11, starting at 1:00 PM EST / 10:00 AM PST. The event will feature new surprises and first-looks at upcoming titles from Xbox Game Studios and third-party partners, with a focus on Starfield as the highlight of the showcase.

Fans are hoping that Xbox Game Studios' upcoming slate of games, specifically The Initiative's Perfect Dark Reboot, Ninja Theory's Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, Playground Games' Fable reboot, Rare's Everwild, and Obsidian Entertainment's Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2 will all make an appearance at this year's Xbox Games Showcase.

The Xbox has a handful of upcoming exclusives that's been in development for many years.

Going back to the topic of Starfield, fans hope this is more in line with Arkane Lyon's decision to work on Deathloop over Dishonored 3.

It's worth noting that Bethesda postponed work on The Elder Scrolls VI and Fallout 5 to launch its first new IP in decades.

In the meantime, the Xbox will have to find a way to "bury" the negative press surrounding the brand following the release of Redfall. The co-op shooter received negative reviews at launch and the situation has only gotten worse. One insider has come forward to claim that Microsoft didn't really care much for it at all.
