Influencers get perks. Unfortunately, some of them let these privileges get to their heads. A good example is what's occurred with Dan Allen Gaming.
The YouTuber recently confessed on his since-deleted Twitter account that he's behind another Twitter account, TheRealInsider. The "anonymous" leaker made headlines over the past few months for getting the jump on important info ahead of everybody else.
A few weeks back, TheRealInsider was the first to reveal info about the new Assassin's Creed games, including Mirage and Project Red, among others.
Here's what Allen had to say after people caught on and he decided to admit to the crime: I'm sorry to everyone for my actions. I'm ashamed and disappointed in myself. I'll be taking some time to reflect on my poor decisions, which will never occur again. To everyone that has supported me over the years, I'm truely [sic] sorry I let you down. Dan Allen Gaming probably isn't the only influencer moonlighting as a "leaker" using an anonymous account.
