Capcom to release VR mode for Resident Evil 4 Remake as free DLC

Unfortunately, Capcom didn't confirm how extensive the PSVR2 functionality of the Resident Evil 4 Remake is going to be. Keep in mind that Resident Evil 7 and 8 are first-person titles, which lends itself to a VR port. On the other hand, Resident Evil 4 and its remake will primarily be played in a third-person perspective, similar to the older installments. But, if the VR mode for the remake of Resident Evil 4 extends to the full game, the PSVR2 will have a huge console seller on its hands, on top of Horizon Call of the Mountain.

At this point, there's still plenty left to learn about the Resident Evil 4 Remake let alone the PSVR 2 mode. We'll find out more at Sony's next State of Play event and when the title comes out on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and the PC on March 24.

We're hoping that Capcom considers porting the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 to the PSVR 2 on top of working on a new remake of the original Resident Evil.
