The Fast and Furious franchise isnearing the end of its two-decade-long run. With the franchise being so successful over the years, it's no surprise that its producers are exploring spin-offs - something star Vin Diesel has just confirmed.
Lead actor and producer Vin Diesel recently revealed to Variety that he has been working on spin-offs for years. One of the new films will be a female-led movie. "I started developing the female spin-off... in 2017 with other spin-offs, and the sooner I deliver the finale, the sooner I can launch all the spin-offs," Diesel said.
Michelle Rodriguez, however, isn't coming back to do spin-offs. "You pass the baton on. You take the back seat," Rodriguez said. "You go passenger side. When it comes the next generation, you have to. It's the only way to let them define the future."
Diesel recently teased the possibility of more movies for the Fast and Furious franchise during an interview at the premiere of Fast X in Rome. The newest installment is being advertised as the penultimate movie of the series but there have been talks about exploring the possibility of having Fast and Furious 12.
