All eyes are on Square Enix's biggest upcoming titles, Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Rebirth, as they should be. But, don't forget, Square Enix is not a one-trick pony; the Japanese video game developer is sitting on a treasure trove of cult-classic IPs and it's reviving one later this year in Valkyrie Profile.
was one of the surprise announcements at the March State of Play event, where Square Enix confirmed that the fan-favorite series will see its first mainline entry since 2009's Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume on the Nintendo DS. However, unlike earlier entries that had turn-based JRPG combat, Valkyrie Elysium will use real-time melee combat and magical spells, which should be interesting, to say the least.
Having said that, the reason we are talking about Valkyrie Elysium right now is that it could come out soon.
