With only weeks to go before its official release, Sony and Square Enix have confirmed that the PlayStation 5 exclusive title, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, is getting one last massive marketing push on February 6.
As expected, FF7 Rebirth is getting a demo as soon as the showcase ends, or at least, that's what this insider is saying.
In a tweet on X, @PlaystationSize confirmed the file size, pre-load date, and demo release date for FF7 Rebirth.
According to the insider, the FF7 Rebirth Demo will be available to play on PlayStation 5 on February 6 after the State of Play showcase. Meanwhile, the first version of the game will be a whopping 145.250 GB, making it the largest PS5 exclusive by far and one of the largest in terms of file size, regardless of platform. Finally, pre-loading of FF7 Rebirth begins on February 27.
It's unclear how long the FF7 Rebirth demo will be but it shouldn't take longer than a couple of hours to clear through. If the demo for Final Fantasy 7 Remake is to go by, it should take place in the earlier parts of the game, possibly during the part where Cloud and Sephiroth team up, which has been prominently featured in earlier previews and trailers. Unfortunately, this also means that progress from the demo won't carry over into the final version. Players will have to replay whichever section is part of the demo on February 29 and onwards.
