Tom Hardy is set to reprise his role as Venom, and it appears to be for the final installment of the film series. The actor delighted fans by sharing behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, as production resumed after the conclusion of the writers' and actors' strike.
Hardy's Instagram post revealed that Venom 3 has officially kicked off production, featuring snapshots of himself along with director Kelly Marcel. Marcel is making her directorial debut with the film, having previously served as a writer and producer for the first two Venom films.
While the movie initially started production earlier this year, it was temporarily paused due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Consequently, Sony announced a delay in Venom 3's release, pushing it to November 8, 2024. This delay provides the filmmaking team with ample time to wrap up filming and navigate the post-production process.
Joining Hardy in the cast are Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor, though their specific roles in the film remain undisclosed. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker will take on producer roles alongside Marcel and Hardy.
