Just a couple of weeks ago, EA and Maxis gave audiences a glimpse of what to expect for The Sims 4 in the next coming months. The Summer 2021 roadmap confirmed that The Sims 4 will be getting a nature-themed major expansion, as well as several small DLCs. However, the initial announcement did not give any other further detail regarding the content of the upcoming pack.
Fast forward to today and numerous fan speculation later, Maxis has finally confirmed what the next expansion for The Sims 4 is going to be. What Is The Sims 4 Cottage Living Expansion? Cottage Living should give The Sims 4 more content to sink their teeth into until The Sims 5 arrives.
The longtime developers of The Sim series, Maxis Studios, confirmed the newest expansion pack for The Sims 4 on YouTube. It will be named Cottage Living and will add a charming new locale in the form of the countryside town, Henford-on-Bagley.
Judging from the trailer for the latest The Sims 4 expansion pack, there's a lot to be excited about.
For one, Cottage Living will finally add numerous features to The Sims 4 that fans have long been asking for, including barnyard animals like llamas and chickens, as well as a farming mechanic. Oh, and Cottage Living will add bunnies and foxes as well. Players will get to cross-stitch, milk cows, go on picnics, and even put up farm stands too.
According to Maxis' news release, The Sims 4 will let players live off of their own land. This means that players will finally be able to grow their own vegetables and harvest milk, eggs, and maybe even meat from their own farm. Not one to let the opportunity slip by, Maxis adds that the newest The Sims 4 expansion will add vegetable-growing contests that players can participate in.
