The Boys' Antony Starr recently took to social media to confirm that filming has begun for the series' Season 4. The 46-year old New Zealand actor, who plays Homelander on the satirical superhero show, shared a throwback photo of the original members of the Seven with the caption "Season one. So long ago. Season four, now we begin ;)."
When the series began, the Seven included Queen Maeve, Starlight, A-Train, Black Noir, Translucent, The Deep, and Homelander. These characters were portrayed by Dominique McElligott, Erin Moriarty, Jesse T. Usher, Nathan Mitchell, Alex Hassell, and Antony Starr. By the end of Season 3, Homelander, The Deep, and A-Train are the only members of the group still standing as the rest have either left or died.
At the moment, very little is known about Season 4's plot. However, we know the title of the first episode, which showrunner, Eric Kripke, graciously posted on his Twitter handle. The tweet, which read "Day One" had a picture of the season's first episode script, which revealed the title to be "Department of Dirty Tricks."
It also revealed the names of the screenwriter and director to be David Reed and Phil Sgriccia respectively. Finally, Cameron Corvetti, who plays Ryan, Homelander's son with Butcher's wife, is now a season regular.
