Supermassive Games released Until Dawn for the PS4 in 2015. The narrative-driven horror game has aged quite well and doesn't necessarily need a remake. Furthermore, Until Dawn's gameplay remains just as horrifying to play today as it was when it first hit the market. However, according to various rumors now circulating, Supermassive Games is working on a remake of the 2015 title alongside its other The Dark Pictures projects.

Twitter user AccountNGT claims that Supermassive will bring back Until Dawn for "current-gen consoles." The user adds that they'll "try to find out more about this potential project." Interestingly enough, the way that AccountNGT said things is that Until Dawn will be released for other consoles outside of the PlayStation 5. Although this is unlikely as Sony still owns the IP, stranger things have happened lately. For example, Until Dawn might not necessarily make its way to Xbox consoles but instead the PC.

Sony's Jim Ryan explained last year that the console manufacturer wants to start releasing more of its IPs on other platforms soon. Since then, former PS-exclusives like Days Gone, Death Stranding, Final Fantasy VII Remake, God of War, as well as Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection have all been confirmed for a PC release at some point. It wouldn't be far-fetched to think that Sony has a PC port and a PS5 remaster lined up.
