Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League gets first gameplay footage at TGA 2021

For some reason, the Justice League, including Green Lantern, Flash, and Superman, fall under Brainiac's control. Because of this, it's now up to Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark, to save the day.

The first gameplay trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League opens by confirming that Brainiac also got his hands (or is it tentacles) on Flash and it's now up to the players to take him down. The video then goes through the unique abilities of each Suicide Squad member, as well as the kind of weapons and moves that they can pull off before it cuts just right before a clash with Flash.

As Kill the Justice League is an open-world game, Rocksteady gives players choices on how to move around quickly. Deadshot can hover and fire at enemies simultaneously while Harley Quinn gets her grapplehook. Meanwhile, both King Shark and Captain Boomerang have abilities that let them go quickly from one place to another. When are we going to see Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League next? It will be interesting to see how the badly mismatched Suicide Squad will take out the most powerful superheroes in the world.

Judging from the first Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League trailer, you can tell that Rocksteady understood the assignment. The studio put in a proper amount of time and work to make sure that the combat feels right. It would've been easy to make each character feel the same with slight differences, but the trailer does a great job of showing that they all have unique playstyles. This way, players can choose which one they prefer while an AI or another player takes control of the other members of the Suicide Squad.

Speaking of Rocksteady, the concept art for a canceled Batman game went rounds over the internet back in November, and we still don't have any idea what Batman is doing in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Was he captured as well? If not, where is he? Is he working together with Task Force X? Unfortunately, all fans can do for now is to wait as Kill the Justice League isn't slated to release until some time in 2022.
