Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is receiving a significant update with the launch of Season 1 on March 28, featuring a variety of new content, including the arrival of Joker as a playable character. This update, provided for free, promises to rejuvenate the game, addressing player feedback and enhancing the overall experience.

Season 1, titled "Fear and Duality," introduces an alternate Joker. The Elseworlds version brings a fresh take on the character. Rocksteady Studios designed the Joker with unique abilities and a distinctive playstyle. The Joker's skills include three distinct playstyles: Jester, which focuses on melee combat; Firestarter, which utilizes fire-based attacks; and Ringmaster, emphasizing aerial combat and traversal. Players can explore these abilities further through a new talent tree introduced alongside the character.

This update also brings an "ever-changing" Elseworld version of Metropolis, twisted by the Joker's influence. The city's reimagined landscape offers players new environments to explore, complete with additional Incursions, Strongholds, missions, activities, and boss fights against Brainiac variants. Season 1 is divided into two episodes, each introducing new content and challenges for players to tackle.

Episode 1 will also incorporate Scarecrow-inspired gear and weapons themed around other DC Super-Villains like Mad Hatter, Merlyn, and Dr. Psycho. Episode 2 will follow as a mid-season update, featuring Green Lantern infused items, Two-Face Infamy gear sets, and weaponry based on Reverse-Flash and Black Manta.
