Amid the controversy stealing headlines from the space RPG's brighter side, it was just a matter of time before Bethesda gave in to the pressure of adding DLSS support to Starfield. Many gamers were upset and felt the studio ignored much of its PC player base when it decided to ship Starfield with only AMD FSR support, leading to major performance discrepancies. Not for long!

Earlier today, Bethesda announced a number of upcoming planned updates which include some of the most requested features for the game. The studio plans to roll out new features incrementally over the next weeks, one of which is official support for Nvidia's upscaling technology, meaning gamers no longer need mods to use DLSS.

Also included in the list of updates are the field of view slider, brightness and contrast controls, HDR calibration menu, 32:9 ultrawide monitor support, and "eat food button." Looking at the list, the FOV slider, brightness and contrast control, and HDR calibration should have shipped with the game at launch. Bethesda made some very bizarre decisions in omitting these features in the first place.
