Piotr Babieno, president of Polish video game studio Bloober Team, has revealed some crucial details about the remake of Silent Hill 2 following Konami's recent confirmation that his company is handling the game's development process.

Babieno revealed that the game has been in development since 2019 and is nearing completion. Bloober Team's CEO made this revelation during WSE Innovation Day where he also hinted that the video game may be released earlier than expected.

Babeno stated that the game's debut is still unconfirmed and depends on Konami. However, he expressed the belief that the video game publisher will provide more information about the series to the public soon enough.

In addition, Babieno announced that Konami covered the full development cost of the Silent Hill 2 remake. He also mentioned that Bloober Team is already being paid for the next development stages. In his words, "Bloober Team is already earning money, we are already at the stage where we receive funds for each subsequent milestone, and of course, we have a margin on it. However, yes, we will also participate in the event of success – we will be its direct beneficiaries."
