Resident Evil CODE Veronica and Outbreak might be getting remasters

You could argue that fans are just reaching, which isn't exactly the worst idea. Resident Evil fans (or any hardcore fanbase of a known video game franchise, for that matter) tend to be the speculative sort. On the other hand, adding new assets, screenshots, and descriptions specifically for Resident Evil - Code: Veronica, Outbreak, and Outbreak File 2 is quite odd. Not to mention, the slight reworks make it so that the alligators and hyenas from the pair of Outbreak games for the PS2 would look more at home on the likes of at least the PS4 and the Xbox One.

All the information we have right now is speculative at best, but, remastering all three of the aforementioned Resident Evil games is not out of character for Capcom. For one, the three games aren't necessarily best-sellers unlike Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. So, instead of doing full-on remakes, Capcom might have just gone with a "smaller" investment by going the remaster route.

Either way, remasters of the said titles would be a great fit for modern consoles. In particular, outbreak and Outbreak File 2 were ahead of their time because of their online features.

If it's any consolation, users entering the website will get a message that says there'll be another update on March 1, 2022. If we're lucky, Capcom might just announce something by then.

In other news, fans are still waiting on Capcom to reveal the promised DLC for Resident Evil Village. Also, speaking of remakes and remasters, there's still that persistent rumor of a Resident Evil 4 Remake.
