If there's one thing that you should never underestimate, it's how far fans can theorize in light of new information.
Case in point, after Capcom updated the Resident Evil history page, fans now believe that the Japanese video game developers are going to announce remasters of the former Dreamcast-exclusive, Resident Evil: CODE Veronica, and 2003's Resident Evil Outbreak for the PlayStation 2.
Both Resident Evil games aren't the most popular mainstream, but the latter has developed a cult following over the years. Meanwhile, the former was part of our list of the best Resident Evil games of all time, which shouldn't be surprising considering that the Claire Redfield-led survival-horror title was effectively Resident Evil 3 in all but name. Also, what gives these speculations further credence is that the earlier Nvidia GeForce leak contains information about a PC port of Resident Evil Outbreak, so a remaster isn't totally out of the question.
Having said that, the latest set of news might have to be the biggest piece of evidence yet.
