Capcom, renowned for the Resident Evilfranchise, hasn't officially announced new entries in the franchise. However, many leaks and rumors are suggesting that the company is actively working on multiple Resident Evil projects. The prominent leaker, known as Dusk Golem, is stirring the community by claiming that the Japanese gaming giant has as many as five Resident Evil games in various stages of development.
Among these, "multiple" titles have reportedly been greenlit last year, with "some" of these being remakes of beloved classics from the survival horror series.
The speculation doesn't end there. Dusk Golem suggests that one of the anticipated titles is Resident Evil 9, rumored to be ready for its announcement later this year with a 2025 release window. Considering the game has been under development since as early as 2018, it's not one of the newly greenlit projects. The focus, however, is significantly on the remakes.
There's a strong presumption among fans that Resident Evil 5 might see a modern version soon. Yet, fans are also hopeful for a remake of Code – Veronica, a title that has been highly requested due to its unique place in the Resident Evil lore.
