Red Notice is one of the most expensive Netflix film projects to date, with an estimated budget of close to $200 million. In fact, it is rumored that all the three main stars, Johnson, Gadot, and Reynolds, will each receive a payday of no less than a $20 million. In relation to this, Dwayne Johnson himself had this to say about the project (on his Instagram): Our movie, Red Notice (about the world's greatest art thief, an FBI profiler and the world's greatest con man) is the biggest investment Netflix has made thus far. Thank you for the trust and commitment. My handshake is my word. Our accountability to Ted [Sarandos] & his team to deliver for Netflix and most importantly, deliver something great for my one and only boss - the audience/consumer worldwide. Let's get back to work. This is a fun one. With the release of the new trailer, Johnson later added: Not only is this the biggest investment NETFLIX has ever made in a film, it also boasts two of the biggest and most talented (and attractive;) movie stars on the planet in @gal_gadot & @vancityreynolds .And some guy who became famous for wearing a fanny pack. Here's what I know ~ Red Notice was my first ever movie on @netflix and I wanted to make it historic, massive and entertaining for the world. After a slew of successful big projects that star A-list actors such as Extraction (starring Chris Hemsworth), The Old Guard (starring Charlize Theron), Bright (featuring Will Smith), Project Power (starred Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Spenser Confidential (Mark Wahlberg), Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill), and Bird Box (Sandra Bullock), anticipation and expectations for Red Notice's performance are particularly high. Given the controversies that have arisen with exclusive streaming content like unfair compensation and problematic production conditions, the streaming giant's newest and biggest film will have a significant impact for the future of these endeavors.
