After becoming synonymous with the PlayStation platform and intriguing video game reveals for years, the popular tactical espionage action franchise, Metal Gear, has spent the past couple of years hiding in the shadows following the messy split between Hideo Kojima and Konami. But, this hasn't stopped people from talking about it. In particular, multiple reports are claiming in recent months that Konami is preparing to release a remake of what's canonically the first game in the franchise.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, features the original Snake (who later became known as Big Boss), as an operative working for the fictional Force Operation X (FOX) unit of the CIA during the Cold War.
It's widely considered one of the best entries in the series and was recently "remade" for Pachinko machines in Japan, much to the dismay of fans.
But, according to a noted gaming journalist, Andy Robinson, the upcoming PlayStation Showcase will reveal a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3.
