This just in: Silent Hill is coming back from the grave.

Fans have asked Konami for a new Silent Hill game for years but it never listened. They've never lost hope though, even after Konami dropped its mainstream gaming arm. Konami's decision to skip E3 2021 after confirming it had multiple projects only fueled the speculation.

But, it wasn't until a few months back when eagle-eyed observers sighted an unannounced Silent Hill game on the Korean rating board that fans had a concrete reason to believe a potential franchise renaissance.

With a single tweet, the official Silent Hill Twitter account sent the series' hardcore fanbase into a frenzy by announcing that they'll have an update for the state of Silent Hill two days from now on the 19th.

It's unclear what kind of game/s Konami will reveal later this week. However, it was reported last year that Konami is reviving Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, and Silent Hill. In addition, earlier this year several insiders corroborated reports that Bloober Team is working on a Silent Hill 2 remake as part of Konami's plans despite the studio's denial.
