Legendary voice actor, Kevin Conroy, who passed away in 2022, will continue to captivate audiences posthumously with several more performances as Batman, much to the delight of fans.
As confirmed by IGN, Conroy’s distinctive voice will still be featured in several more upcoming projects aside from the controversial-but-surprisingly-good Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, ensuring that his legacy as the voice of Batman endures for a little while longer.
Conroy’s appearance in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was initially believed to be his final portrayal of Batman, but recent reports suggest otherwise. It turns out that Conroy had recorded for additional projects before his passing, which means fans can look forward to hearing his voice in more than just this game.
One of the posthumous projects is the animated series Batman: Caped Crusader, produced by J.J. Abrams, Bruce Timm, and Matt Reeves, and set to be released on Prime Video. While it’s not confirmed if Conroy will be voicing Batman or another character in this series, his involvement is sure to excite fans.
Another project featuring Conroy is the animated film Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Three. It’s the final installment in a planned home video trilogy that began with Part One, released earlier this year. In this movie, Conroy will voice his original Batman/Bruce Wayne character from Batman: The Animated Series, a fitting tribute and send-off for the iconic voice actor.
Conroy’s portrayal of Batman has been a defining aspect of the character for over three decades, spanning various kinds of media, including video games and animation. His contributions to the Arkham series of video games and his role in Batman: The Animated Series have cemented his status as a legendary figure in the entertainment industry. His voice work extended beyond the Batman universe, with roles in other video games such as Max Payne and Jak and Daxter.

Conroy’s passing left a profound impact on the world of comic book adaptations and animation. However, the fact that fans will still be able to experience his work in these upcoming projects is a testament to his enduring legacy as Batman.
Mark Hamill, who famously voiced Joker often opposite of Kevin Conroy, has since confirmed that he’ll no longer reprise the role of the Clown Prince of Crime following Conroy’s passing.
