The fourth installment of the series has received the highest review scores in the series. The movie also broke the series record for the highest box office earnings.

Audiences went all in for what is seemingly the last movie in the mainline series. John Wick: Chapter 4 had a massive opening weekend earning $137.5. The four-week total for the film is a massive $349.7 million which makes it the highest-grossing film in the John Wick series.

For comparison, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum grossed over $328 million at the box office. The fourth film surpassed the box office total of the first film which earned $86 million. John Wick: Chapter 4 also earned rave reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, earning a franchise record 94% score. The third movie earned an 89% approval rating on the review site.

Fans applauded the fourth film for continuing to deliver fast-paced action and awesome fight scenes. The movie kept audiences at the edge of their seats for the three-hour theatrical run, another series record. Collider's Ross Bonaime gave props to the movie saying it was "goofy, ridiculous, three-hours of fun that manages to not overstay its welcome" and pushing "ambition to the brink."
