Avengers: Endgame is as big as a comic book movie can get, right? Well, as it turns out, James Gunn already has crossover ideas in mind.
As he gears up to release Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Gunn had a chance to sit down with Empire to talk about several things, including a potential crossover between Marvel and DC.
Here's what Gunn said about a potential DC and Marvel mash-up: I'm certain that's more likely now that I'm in charge [at DC]. Who knows? That's many years away, though. I think we have to establish what we're doing [at DC] first. I would be lying to say that we haven't discussed it. But all discussions have been very, very light and fun. As one of the most beloved directors from Marvel Studios, Gunn has Kevin Feige on speed dial. Unless things change within the next decade, Feige will most likely keep an open mind about crossing over into the DC Universe and vice versa.
Of course, as Gunn mentioned, DC Studios will have to establish itself first.
