When it comes to Mortal Kombat guest characters, NetherRealm Studios doesn't miss. If we believe the recent rumors, the long-time Mortal Kombat developers have another homerun planned for the upcoming new installment.
According to sources, specifically Jez Corden, Peacemaker could be a part of the Mortal Kombat 12 roster as a post-launch DLC character.
Jez Corden also hinted that Homelander could be added as well.
Homelander and Peacemaker are some of the most popular comic book characters in mainstream media today. The former rose to infamy due to the masterful portrayal of Anthony Starr in the hit Prime Video series, The Boys. On the other hand, John Cena and James Gunn teamed up to bring the B-lister vigilante, Peacemaker, to the big screen in The Suicide Squad two years ago and as the titular lead in last year's biggest HBO Max surprises.
From Peacemaker's other more prominent DC stablemates like Joker to other pop culture icons like RoboCop, Rambo, and the T-8000 Terminator, the Mortal Kombat games have served as a huge battleground for several legendary characters.
