Avalanche Software's Hogwarts Legacy is proof that delaying a game is better than pushing it out of the gates half-complete. Unfortunately, all of that polishing for Hogwarts Legacy couldn't have prepared it for the unexpected litmus test it got at launch.

Despite the controversies, Hogwarts Legacy has become the best-selling Wizarding World game and it likely won't be long before it lands a spot on the all-time charts of the franchise. This exposed Hogwarts Legacy to millions of players in less than a week, opening it up to just as many complaints about performance issues and bugs.

Now, Avalanche Software promises to address the problems PC and Xbox gamers have had with Hogwarts Legacy over the past few days.

According to Avalanche Community Manager, Chandler Wood, an update for Hogwarts Legacy, which drops today, will be aimed at improving the game's performance on the PC and the Xbox Series S/X. Wood is adding that the latest Hogwarts Legacy update will address multiple existing bugs. However, while the update rolls out for the Xbox Series S/X and the PC today, PS5 owners will have to wait until later this week.
