Halo Infinite battle royale mode leak suggests connection with campaign

As a whole, the entire series has told some of the best stories in gaming. These stories have even found their way into other media such as comic books and graphical novels.

With that said, fans aren't just looking forward to playing the free-to-play multiplayer part of Halo Infinite. Audiences are genuinely excited to play the game's single-player campaign too.

According to trusted industry insider, Tom Henderson, the game's rumored battle royale mode has strong connections to the campaign. He even warns fans to avoid looking into the battle royale mode further or else they risk having the story spoiled. He then added his theory that this is 343's way of giving players a reason to buy Halo Infinite and play through the single-player campaign.

As we've already mentioned, Halo Infinite's multiplayer is going to be free-to-play, which is a first in the series.

The leak isn't far-fetched when you think about it. Microsoft might monetize Halo Infinite with microtransactions, but it still stands to make bank if people actually buy Halo Infinite. If Microsoft can find a way to tie the battle royale mode into the single-player campaign, then that's a win.

And if Microsoft and 343 haven't considered it yet, they should. There are already voice lines in place.

Of course, we'd like to remind you that this is completely unconfirmed right now. In the past, 343 has even gone as far as to shoot down any rumors that Halo Infinite would be getting a battle royale mode. However, it'd be a huge missed opportunity for them to completely ignore this profitable trend. Thus, fans are wondering if 343 has since changed its stance.
