Free agent, Goldberg, likely to sign with WWE competitor

The 56-year-old was arguably the biggest name in WCW and the WWE in the late 90s and early 2000s. He officially retired from wrestling in 2004 before coming back for a brief run in 2016 with the WWE before headlining the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018.

Since then, he's teased a potential return several times albeit to no avail. Now that it's confirmed he's no longer confined to the WWE, we're curious to see where Goldberg will wrestle next.

Goldberg still believes that the WWE owes him a retirement match, so we don't think he'll be looking to sign with anyone else long-term.

With that said, the AEW is still the ideal destination for Goldberg, if only temporarily. AEW has seen its TV ratings go down considerably to start the year. Bringing Goldberg in to do a couple of squash matches and letting him do what he does best could help perk the numbers back up.

We're pretty sure Goldberg would love to give MJF a first-hand look at his mic skills.
