miHoYo will kick off the maintenance period for Genshin Impact version 1.4 on March 17 at 5:00 PM Eastern.

During this time, the game will not be available for around 5 hours. Although it is possible that the maintenance period will end earlier than that, miHoYo tells players to prepare for the maintenance to take as long if not longer.

Don't worry though. If the maintenance period ends up taking longer, miHoYo does plan on rewarding players for their patience.

As of the moment, players of at least Adventure Level 5 will receive a reward of 300 Primogems the next time that they log into the game. They'll have 30 days to claim the 300 Primogems.

On the off chance that the maintenance takes longer than expected, players will receive 60 Primogems more for every hour it is delayed. More importantly, players will still receive 300 Primogems even if the event ends earlier. When is the Genshin Impact 1.5 Release Date? So far, miHoYo has followed a six-week gap between each update to Genshin Impact.

If we go by this, it is probable that Genshin Impact version 1.5 will make its debut sometime on April 28, 2021, with miHoYo making an official announcement at least a week before it's scheduled to arrive in the game.
