It appears Dragon Age fans will have to wait for nearly a decade after the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition in November 2014 for a chance to play the next Dragon Age game, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
Earlier this month, EA’s most recent earnings report confirmed that Dreadwolf won’t be released until after 2024 as it’s not part of the company’s lineup for the current Fiscal Year.
Now, Jeff Grubb recently narrowed down when it might come out.
As per the trusted industry insider, Dreadwolf will likely hit the store shelves in Summer 2024, which is anywhere between June to September. This would mark the first time a Dragon Age game would come out within the said months. Previously, EA released a Dragon Age game in November, with the sole exception of Dragon Age 2, which came out in March 2011.
This news is somewhat positive for eager players. On one hand, no one was expecting Dreadwolf to be ready by April 2024. On the other hand, it’s good news that it’ll be out within the first quarter of next year.
Even though the release date of the fifth release installment of Dragon Age is still far away, we’re looking forward to seeing more of the game at this year’s Dragon Age Day in December.
The last time, EA and BioWare dropped a trailer for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
For this year, we hope to get a proper release date for Dragon Age 5.
Of course, given what has happened recently, most fans will likely prefer EA and BioWare not to rush the release of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
Speaking of Electronic Arts, the company appears to be doing well after its most recent earnings report. Despite the poor launch performance of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on the PC, it still ended up topping the sales charts last month.
